JOB TITLE
Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)DEPARTMENT

Practice Manager/Clinical Nursing Director/ Physician Clinics DirectorJOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing high quality care to patients in a safe, efficient and courteous manner, using proper procedures. The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned shift. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status.JOB REQUIREMENTS
As Medical Assistant - Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent experience preferred but not required. N-95 mask fitting required if working or floating to Walk-In Clinic. As LPN - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Wyoming licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse. IV-certified preferred.EXPERIENCE
Previous customer service and/or medical office experience preferred. SKILLS Must possess a high degree of confidentiality in all matters with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control principles. Able to perform effectively in highly stressful situations. Must be well motivated, organized and able to prioritize tasks. Must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of people. Must know medical terminology. Effective computer and keyboarding skills. Must have ability to learn and use Microsoft Office Suite products including Word and Outlook. Ability to learn new computer software applications. Able to serve as an example to other employees. Able to take pertinent, concise history. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Able to serve as an example to other employees. Ability to verbally present information and ideas. Up to date on currently used drugs, their actions and side effects. Understanding of medical/legal considerations. Up to date IV therapy-venipuncture ability (if IV-certified).REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS BLS
