JOB SUMMARY
Sycamores provides a spectrum of equitable mental health services, housing support services, and coordinated care management through various programs to multicultural populations of all acuities. Although it serves a variety of consumers, the agency focuses primarily on providing care to low-income, high-needs, at-risk children, youth, families, and adults. With support of the Director of Managed Care Programs, this supervisory role oversees the day-to-day administration of programming activities and provides direct supervision to a team of Lead Care Managers (LCM). In this role, the Lead Care Manager (LCM) Supervisor is responsible for working directly with staff in the implementation of program practices that are consistent with organizational policies, managed care contracts, and the agency's treatment philosophy. The work requires knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations concerning care, as well as supervisory techniques, personnel policies, and procedures. The employee works within general methods and guidelines as required by the agency and contractual obligations, and exercises sound judgment to adapt and apply guidelines to specific situations. The LCM Supervisor will also be available to perform direct service tasks according to departmental needs.
Starting Pay Range:
$29 - $33 per hour (starting pay will be based on previous work experience and educational background.)
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Minimum of 2 years prior supervisory experience in a related field; experience leading projects (team lead) can also be included. Supervised experience in working with
Populations of Focus:
child, youth and adults experiencing homelessness, at risk or frequent utilization of hospitals and emergency rooms, serious mental health and/or substance use, children involved in child welfare, and/or birth equity (pregnant and postpartum individuals). Knowledge and experience working in the framework of a Whole Person Care approach with knowledge of the integration of physical health, mental health, and substance use. Maintains all required licenses and certifications. Valid California Driver License and a driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier. Bilingual, preferred. As this position requires regular and flexible travel between various client locations, driving is an essential function of this position.
Candidate qualifications therefore include:
Personal, reliable vehicle for traveling to various locations. Valid California driver's license. Acceptable driving record as determined Agency policy. Proof of auto insurance meeting minimum coverage requirements.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Ability to maintain records and prepare reports. Ability to evaluate and manage emergencies. Ability to evaluate and react appropriately to crisis situations. Ability to recognize emotional and behavior problems. Ability to operate a motor vehicle. Considerable knowledge of departmental and/or facility standard operating procedures. Considerable knowledge of group dynamics and sensitivity to individual members of the group. Considerable knowledge of behavior patterns impacting health and wellness. Ability to instruct, direct, and evaluate employees. Knowledge of training and supervisory techniques. Knowledge of employee policies and procedures. Employees are required to participate in in-service training courses and to satisfactorily complete the course work.
