Job Description

Lutheran Services Carolinas (LSC) is a nonprofit organization providing high-quality senior services across North Carolina. Through senior living communities, healthcare, and supportive services, LSC delivers person-centered care that promotes dignity, well-being, and abundant living for older adults. Guided by compassion, integrity, and excellence, we create environments where residents feel valued and teammates make a meaningful impact every day. Our Trinity Place community in Albemarle, NC, is seeking a Dementia Care Director to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to support residents in a senior living community while contributing to the mission of Lutheran Services Carolinas.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends required
Compensation:
$30 per hour, salary position Position Overview The Dementia Care Director oversees all aspects of the Dementia Care Program, ensuring residents and their families receive high-quality support that promotes physical and emotional well-being. Key Responsibilities Plan, develop, implement, evaluate, and direct the dementia care program, including activities and compliance with state regulations. Coordinate dementia care education for staff. Act as a trusted resource for residents and families. Maintain current knowledge of best practices in dementia-specific care. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Skills:
Strong dementia care knowledge, flexibility, effective written and verbal communication, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills. Must work well under pressure and build positive relationships with residents.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent walking and standing; ability to stoop, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors as needed. Apply Today
