Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Administrative Assistant. to provide in-office support and essential care to individuals in their homes. This is a
FULL-TIME
position. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients and our caregiving staff, assisting with hiring, scheduling, answering phones, as well as client's daily activities, and ensuring their comfort and safety in their homes. This role requires a blend of administrative support in the office and personal care skills in the field with patient observation, staff observation, and the ability to work effectively with individuals with various needs, including those with physical disabilities and memory care requirements. Responsibilities Answer phones Assist in the hiring process Assist in the client assessment process Walk-in caregivers to introduce to clients Conduct Quality Assurance visits and Supervisory visits with clients and staff Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Monitor and document vital signs and any changes in the client's condition. Offer medication reminders if needed. Utilize EMR or EHR systems for accurate medical documentation and record-keeping. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation. Follow HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Provide care for clients with specific needs such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, hospice care, or long-term care requirements. Qualifications Previous experience in home care, home health, senior care, or assisted living environments is preferred. Current Flu vaccination or completed declaration page. Strong communications skills Attention to detail Writing and documentations skills Familiarity with medical terminology and basic nursing skills is highly desirable. Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications in caregiving or home health aide training are a plus. Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or require memory care is beneficial. Strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Must be able to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving including lifting, transferring patients, and standing for extended periods.
