Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Personal Care Home:
Provide strategic input, planning, and leadership on issues affecting the personal care home. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Provide timely and accurate analyses, reports, and recommendations concerning the operation of the personal care home. Effectively communicate with the residents, staff and families. Assist in the preparations of the annual budget and operate the personal care home community within the budget guidelines. Represent the Community and build relationships within the geographic area, the community and industry. Administer employee policies and procedures. Orient staff and train on policies and procedures. Attend in-service classes and staff meetings. Continue to develop job related knowledge, skills and abilities by participating in continuing educational opportunities for personal growth and development. Participates in quality improvement activities, which reduce cost and increase efficiency through improved systems and processes. Establish goals oversee the daily operations of the department to attain or maintain targeted occupancy levels. Maintain compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines. Monitor efficiency and effectiveness of departmental activities. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.Sales and Marketing:
Design and implement the annual sales and marketing plan. Plan ads, newsletters, and other advertising and public relations materials. Interface with the media outlets regarding interviews and press releases. Plan, update and conduct sales and marketing presentations. Provide tours of the facility as part of strategic sales initiative. Actively contribute towards continuously improving public relations, increasing positive public regard and overall awareness of the facility. Develop and actively participate in the Outreach Program by providing necessary resources, building contacts, creating awareness and garnering goodwill overall. Plan and monitor the Move‐in program to ensure the highest level of coordination and communication with new residents and their families. Monitor coordination of department services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents' total regimen of care. Coordinate with other staff members in scheduling events and use of facilities. Complete appropriate forms, reports, evaluations, and studies. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.Supervisory Responsibilities:
- The position is expected to perform independently and exercise good judgment.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.Educational Requirements and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Licensed Personal Care Administrator
- At least 4 years of progressively responsible management experience in the long‐term care industry or related field.
- Marketing experience, or skills which would qualify as the ability to perform such assignments.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and write, follow written and oral instructions, and communicate effectively in English.
Technical Skills :
- Knowledge of management, fiscal, and medical/nursing practices and procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long‐term care.
