DESCRIPTION
This is a 199-day, exempt, full-time position. The hours will vary and some weekend and evening work is required.
Position responsibilities include:
 Provide leadership and oversight of residential independent living programming  Support Residential Advisors in implementing consistent student supports  Oversee instruction in independent living skills  Support alignment of programming with IEP transition goals and graduation requirements  Support students in school-based and community-based work experience  Provide job coaching using modeling, prompting, and fading strategies  Collaborate with educational teams to support student transition planning  Work closely with Coordinator of After-School Programs to align student activities  Collaborate with teachers, residential staff, and related service providers
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and experience in education, special education, human services or related field is required. Experience working with Deaf/HH strongly preferred. Experience in residential programs, transition services, or youth development preferred. Knowledge of independent living instruction and job coaching also preferred. The hours will vary and some weekend and evening work is required.
SIGNING REQUIREMENTS
The Sign Language Proficiency Interview for the position is "Intermediate." The minimum level accepted athire is "Advanced."
CLEARANCES REQUIRED
PA Criminal Background, PA Child Abuse, and FBI Clearance required. A physical, drug screen and TB is required prior to beginning employment
