School of Nursing Job Description The UAB School of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, one-year Postdoctoral Scholar position mentored by Dr. Rita A. Jablonski, whose research program tests interventions to support family caregivers of persons living with dementia. The postdoctoral scholar will gain hands-on experience across the full research life cycle, from study operations through manuscript development, within an active, federally funded research program. Duties and Responsibilities Work with research staff on day-to-day conduct of intervention studies for dementia family caregivers Manage administrative grant activities: participant incentives, timely release of questionnaires/surveys, treatment fidelity documentation Help identify new research questions from ongoing studies and datasets Analyze data related to those questions Lead development of peer-reviewed manuscripts Required Qualifications Minimum Qualifications PhD in Nursing or closely related discipline completed within the past 3 months (or by appointment start date) Prior experience working with a research team Demonstrated initiative and ability to meet deadlines Strong organizational and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Research interest or experience in dementia care, family caregiving, or gerontology Experience with quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis Prior peer-reviewed manuscript authorship
