Until Filled Applications are being accepted for the position of Certified Nursing Instructor. This position will either be housed at Red Mountain High School (7301 E Brown Rd, Mesa, AZ 85207). This position will work Monday to Friday mornings (4 hours/day)
Position Summary:
Under general supervision, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructor prepares students to provide basic nursing care to patients in hospitals, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare settings under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Instruction includes infection control, communication, safety and emergency procedures, personal care, and fundamental nursing skills. The instructor provides classroom, lab, and clinical instruction and supervises students during clinical experiences as needed.

$27,358.64 - $42,000.00. Placement in the range will be based on a combination of education, industry related experience, teaching experience, and certification.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN)
License:
Active and in good standing. A minimum of one-year full time or 1500 hours of employment providing direct care as a registered nurse in any setting. Meet one of the following qualifications: Successful completion of a three-semester credit course on adult teaching and learning concepts offered by an accredited post-secondary educational institution, Completion of a 40-hour continuing education program in adult teaching and learning concepts that was awarded continuing education credit by an accredited organization, One year of full-time or 1500 hours experience teaching adults as a faculty member or clinical educator One year of full time or 1500 hours experience supervising nursing assistants, either in addition to or concurrent with the one year of experience required Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (Required by first day of employment) Ability to obtain an Arizona Department of Education Secondary or Career & Technical Education (CTE) Certification in the area of Industrial and Emerging Technologies https://www.azed.gov/educator-certification/forms-and-information/certificates Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.
