Faculty, Allied Health Salary Depends on Qualifications Location Prescott Valley Campus, Prescott Valley, AZ Job Type Full Time Job Number 2026-00164 Department Nursing Assistant Opening Date 07/01/2026 Description Benefits Questions Description of Position Reporting to the Director of Allied Health, the incumbent will teach discipline-specific courses (Nursing Assistant, Practical Nursing, Medical Assistant, Behavioral Health, Phlebotomy, etc.) as needed using a variety of methodologies. Responsibilities will include course preparation and instruction; program and class recruitment; curriculum development; participation in the on-campus college community and continued professional growth activities; and creative program building based on needs assessment and in collaboration with other faculty. May be asked to teach other courses in disciplines in which she/he is able to be credentialed. The successful faculty member recognizes that service to our students is our highest priority and embraces their role in student success, recruitment, and retention. This includes being open to a variety of delivery methods and course design with the possibility of interactive, online, day, evening, weekend classes and/or teaching at various College locations and/or in the high school/college dual enrollment programs. In addition, faculty should be open to both traditional (16 week) and compressed course design (i.e., 8 week classes). Faculty can expect to participate in innovative forms of assessment and should be willing to utilize OER when possible.
Minimum Expectations & Requirements Education:
Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited institution
Experience:
Registered Nurse holding a current Arizona license that is active and in good standing, and provides documentation of a minimum of one-year full time or 1500 hours employment providing direct care as a registered nurse in any setting; and at a minimum, one of the following: One year of full-time or 1500 hours experience supervising nursing assistants, either in addition to or concurrent with the one year of experience providing direct care as a registered nurse in any setting, OR Successful completion of a three-semester credit course on adult teaching and learning concepts offered by an accredited post-secondary educational institution, OR Completion of a 40-hour continuing education program in adult teaching and learning concepts that was awarded continuing education credit by an accredited organization, OR One year of full-time or 1500 hours experience teaching adults as a faculty member or clinical educator.
Preferred Skills & Abilities Education:
Bachelor's degree in nursing
Experience:
Previous teaching experience in higher education, career and technical education, or healthcare workforce training Experience using learning management systems (e.g., Canvas) and educational technology Experience working with culturally diverse populations

Breaking Bread:
32 meal swipes for use at the Prescott Campus Eatery. All Other Campuses and Sites receive a $140 credit each semester (fall and spring) to be used at the Open Market on campus/center
Spanish Interpreter Incentive Program:
Employees interested in additional compensation for their Spanish speaking skills agree to assist YC by attending two recruiting events and being available for Spanish Interpretation needs as they arise. Compensation is added to the employee's regular pay at the rate of $50 per month for employees testing at the Advanced Mid-level and $100 a month for employees testing at the Advanced High level. If you are interested in participating let your HR Business partner know, so they can schedule you for the ACTFL language proficiency test at the YC testing center. (Does not apply to Spanish Professors)
Direct Deposit:
Paychecks deposited directly into the employee's bank account(s)
Tuition Waiver:
Eligible Full-time Faculty and Staff may enroll up to 6 hours; eligible dependents may enroll in a partial or full program of course work without payment of tuition, exceptions may be lab fees and market based additional fees
Sabbatical:
Faculty, professional and administrative staff may apply for compensated leave of up to a year after six years of continuous service
