Qualifications:
Possess a valid PDE Vocational I or II certificate (Career and Technical Health Assistant 7-12) or be willing to enroll in a certification program (i.) Currently licensed as an RN in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania OR (ii.) possess any license/certification as a healthcare professional who has a minimum of a Bachelor's degree AND is currently licensed/certified in their field of practice OR (iii.) is currently a licensed Practical Nurse and be willing to take and pass the Occupational Competency Assessment. 4 years of industry experience and expertise required Current FBI fingerprints, PA State Police, and Child Abuse clearances, dated within one yearDuties and Responsibilities:
Provide quality and rigorous occupational instruction to secondary career and technical students to prepare them for a successful career path in healthcare Program development and modify curriculum to stay relevant Implement lesson plans and hands-on activites in the content area that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of each student Support students in learning industry standard procedures for patient safety while demonstrating direct patient care skills Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning Evaluate students' academic and social growth, keep accurate records, and prepare progress reports Collaborate with school-based staff on common course planning, integration, and alignment Participate in professional development activities and maintain appropriate professional certificate(s) and licenses as required Remain current in educational programs related to content area while providing the best educational experience possible for students Perform other duties, as assignedSchedule:
