Duties Deliver comprehensive lectures and practical instruction in nursing theory, clinical procedures, and patient care across diverse healthcare settings. Supervise students during clinical rotations in hospitals, clinics, and community health environments, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and educational objectives. Design, review, and update curriculum content using learning management systems (LMS) such as Blackboard to ensure alignment with accreditation standards and current medical practices. Facilitate online instruction sessions and utilize advanced learning technology to enhance student engagement and understanding of complex topics like medical terminology, care plans, and simulation methods. Assess student performance through documentation review, exams, practical evaluations, and feedback sessions; provide constructive guidance to support continuous improvement. Collaborate with hospital staff and faculty to coordinate clinical placements, monitor compliance with educational regulations, and ensure quality assurance in teaching practices. Engage in research activities related to healthcare education or nursing practice to contribute to academic scholarship and professional development. Requirements Proven supervising experience in clinical or classroom settings within higher education or healthcare environments. Strong familiarity with LMS platforms such as Blackboard or similar learning technology tools for online instruction and curriculum development. Prior teaching hospital experience or clinical instruction background in acute care, ICU, pediatrics, primary care, or senior care settings. Knowledge of healthcare regulations, educational compliance standards, and simulation-based teaching methods. Experience working with post-secondary students from diverse cultural backgrounds; excellent communication skills tailored for adult education. Background in nursing practice with expertise in patient care areas including critical care, medical terminology, phlebotomy, hospital experience, and care plans. Demonstrated ability to develop engaging curricula related to nursing administration, nurse management, clinical procedures, and healthcare education best practices. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher; advanced degrees or certifications in nursing education are preferred. Active license as a registered nurse (RN) with relevant clinical experience; additional certifications in teaching simulation or healthcare training are advantageous.
