Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Instructor to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing, with a passion for teaching and mentoring future healthcare professionals. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction in nursing theory and practice, while fostering an engaging learning environment for students. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging curriculum that meets educational standards and student needs. Deliver lectures and facilitate discussions on nursing concepts, medical terminology, patient care, and critical care practices. Supervise and mentor students during clinical rotations in various healthcare settings including teaching hospitals and acute care facilities. Conduct assessments of student performance through documentation review, exams, and practical evaluations. Utilize learning technologies and Blackboard to enhance the educational experience. Collaborate with faculty members to improve teaching strategies and curriculum effectiveness. Maintain a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success. Requirements A valid nursing license with significant experience in nursing practice. Previous teaching experience in higher education or adult education settings is preferred. Experience working with students in both classroom settings and clinical environments. Knowledge of critical care practices, ICU experience, hospital experience, and primary care principles is essential. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse learners effectively. Experience teaching pharmacology is preferred.
