Prestonsburg Community College Job Summary Big Sandy Community & Technical College is seeking a dedicated and passionate Adjunct Instructor to teach our Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) classes. This role is ideal for professionals who are enthusiastic about shaping the next generation of healthcare providers and are committed to maintaining high standards in nursing education.
Job Duties:
Deliver engaging and comprehensive instruction in the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) program, ensuring students meet the requirements set by the Kentucky Board of Nursing. Develop lesson plans, assessments, and hands-on clinical experiences that align with the state curriculum and certification standards. Provide mentorship and support to students, helping them to succeed academically and professionally. Ensure compliance with state regulations and college policies related to the CNA program. Maintain accurate records of student progress and meet administrative deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Minimum of an associate's degree in nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution. A bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Licensure:
Must hold a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.
Experience:
A minimum of two years of nursing experience is required, with at least one year in a long-term care facility.
Skills:
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a passion for teaching and mentoring students. Proficiency in using technology for instruction and record-keeping is a plus.
Vaccinations:
TB Skin Test or TB blood test and Hepatitis B vaccine. How to
