CNA Nurse Instructor (Full-Time / 3-Week Program)

Job Overview Soarview Medical Academy is seeking a highly qualified Registered Nurse to lead our Full-Time, 3-Week CNA Training Program at our brand-new Flint campus. We have designed this accelerated path to get students into the workforce quickly without sacrificing quality. As the CNA Nurse Instructor , you will manage a consistent schedule, guiding a small cohort through the entire Michigan curriculum from orientation to graduation in just 15 business days. Michigan Administrative Rules:

Active RN License:

Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan.

General Nursing Experience:

Minimum of 2 years (1,600+ hours) of experience as a Registered Nurse.

Long-Term Care Experience:

At least 1 year of your RN experience must be in a licensed long-term care facility (nursing home, county medical care facility, or hospital long-term care unit).

Train-the-Trainer Certification:

Must have successfully completed a state-approved "Train-the-Trainer" workshop (Adult Learning Principles). Or willing to take the class before hire.

Clean Background:

Ability to pass a formal Michigan Workforce Background Check (fingerprinting). Class Schedule & Duties Soarview Medical Academy offers flexible training options to meet the needs of our students and staff. We run multiple "tracks" simultaneously. Applicants may apply for one or more of the following shift rotations:

Program Duration:

Weekday Track:

3-week accelerated cycle.

Weekend Track:

6-week extended cycle (Saturdays & Sundays).

Flexible Shift Options:

We offer Morning, Afternoon (Noon), and Evening cohorts. During the interview, we will establish a "Fixed Block" schedule based on your preference (e.g., "Mornings Only" or "Weekends & Nights") "We run multiple 3-week cohorts. Instructors may choose to lead a Morning session (8am-1pm), an Evening session (5pm-10pm), or a Weekend-only track. Full-time status is achieved by leading one consistent 25-30 hour per week cohort.".

Location:

Instruction takes place on-site at our Ballenger HWY campus and at local clinical partner facilities in the Flint/Saginaw area.

Instruction:

Lead daily lectures and hands-on skills lab instruction following the 75-hour Michigan CNA Curriculum.

Record Keeping:

Maintain state-mandated attendance logs and competency checklists for LARA audits. High attention to detail is required to ensure 100% compliance. Deliver engaging classroom lessons on nursing fundamentals, medical terminology, patient care procedures, and care plans tailored to CNA training standards Supervise students during clinical rotations in hospital or long-term care environments, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards Develop and update curriculum materials using learning management systems (LMS) such as Blackboard and Learning Technology tools to enhance instructional effectiveness Assess student performance through documentation review, skills demonstrations, and written examinations; provide constructive feedback to support growth Collaborate with hospital staff and clinical partners to coordinate practical training experiences in acute care, ICU, pediatrics, senior care, and primary care settings Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and competency assessments in compliance with accreditation standards Facilitate adult education techniques to engage working professionals or diverse learner groups effectively Qualifications Proven supervising experience within nursing education or clinical training environments Strong knowledge of LMS platforms such as Blackboard or similar learning technology tools Prior teaching hospital experience or involvement in medical research enhances instructional credibility Background in curriculum development for nursing or healthcare programs is highly desirable Extensive patient care experience across various specialties including critical care, ICU, pediatrics, and senior care Familiarity with documentation review processes related to nursing documentation and care plans Excellent understanding of medical terminology and nursing practices in acute and primary care settings Experience working with students in adult education or higher education teaching environments Knowledge of nursing administration and nurse management principles is advantageous Certification in phlebotomy or related skills preferred but not mandatory Join us in inspiring future healthcare professionals by sharing your expertise in a vibrant educational environment.
