Salary Range:
The current salary range is up to $71,893. Full-time faculty work a 171-day contract during a nine-month academic year (mid-August to mid-May).

Minnesota State Community and Technical College is accepting applications for a Full-time Nursing, AD Faculty for the Associate's Degree- RN Program to begin fall semester 2026. This position is located on the Wadena campus. This position will become unlimited upon completion of required six semesters of probationary status.
Responsibilities:
Activities related to comprehensive community college teaching and learning, including but not limited to:
Instructional planning and delivery;
Teaching and facilitating student learning;
Curriculum planning and development;
Academic advising for AD - RN Nursing students;
Assessment of student performance at course and departmental level, and contribute to student assessment at the college general education level;
Classroom management;
Maintenance of professional skills and credentials;
Participation in department meetings, coordination activities, and college-wide committees;
Provide engaging theory, laboratory, and/or clinical instruction to a diverse student body;
Create a positive, student-centered, dynamic, structured, equitable and inclusive classroom, laboratory, and clinical learning environment;
Participate in program and institutional accreditation activities, program review, assessment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education Requirement
Graduate degree with a major in nursing, or
Bachelor's degree in nursing and a graduate degree in support of the field of nursing and/or education.
Occupational Experience Requirement
Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a registered nurse at the professional level.
As a registered nurse at the professional level, experientially qualified to accomplish the mission, goals, and expected student and faculty outcomes; including experiential preparation in the areas the faculty will teach.
Recency Requirement
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Professional Requirement
Current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse with the current registration in Minnesota.
Other Requirement
Compliance with clinical affiliate policies for attending on-site clinical teaching requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as a nursing instructor in an academic setting
Leadership related to student success, retention and persistence
Experience mentoring students
Experience collaborating across departments or programs
Demonstrated familiarity with and commitment to the mission and constituencies of a comprehensive community and technical college;
Experience with learning communities or team teaching;
Experience in curriculum development;
Experienced in integrating cross-cultural and interdisciplinary perspectives in course instruction;
Experience teaching a diverse student population.
Service on local, regional, national committees
Strong interpersonal and teambuilding skills
Knowledge of active learning strategies
