Job Description

Description Position Summary Keuka College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Nursing. Rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience. This role offers an opportunity to prepare the next generation of highly competent, compassionate, and practice-ready nurses through innovative, student-centered education. The successful candidate will teach across undergraduate and graduate programs in both on-campus and online modalities. We are seeking a dynamic nurse educator with clinical expertise in mental health nursing, strong teaching skills, a commitment to student success, academic excellence, and inclusive learning environments. Key Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing courses (didactic and/or clinical) in face-to-face, hybrid and asynchronous online formats. Develop, implement, and evaluate course content aligned with student learning outcomes, AACN competencies, and current nursing practice standards. Design and assess student learning using evidence-based teaching and evaluation strategies. Provide timely feedback and maintain accurate records of student performance, progression, and outcomes. Foster an inclusive, engaging learning environment that promotes clinical judgment, critical thinking, and professional development. Advise and mentor students, supporting academic progression, licensure readiness, and career development. Participate in curriculum development, revision, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Contribute to program assessment, outcomes evaluation, and continuous improvement processes. Support accreditation and regulatory compliance through documentation, reporting, and data-driven decision-making. Engage in shared governance, including active participation on departmental, divisional, and college-wide committees. Collaborate on student recruitment, retention, and program growth initiatives. Maintain an active role in service and, as appropriate, scholarship and professional development. Demonstrate professionalism, ethical practice, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Requirements Required Qualifications Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program. Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure in New York State. Recent clinical nursing experience. Demonstrated or potential ability to teach in higher education. Knowledge of nursing education standards, student learning outcomes, and clinical evaluation. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to teach in both in-person and online environments (experience with LMS platforms preferred). Commitment to student-centered teaching, mentoring, and inclusive excellence. Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree in Nursing (PhD, EdD, DNP) or related field. One of the two highest degrees must be in nursing. Prior teaching experience in undergraduate and/or graduate nursing programs. Experience with online teaching, simulation, or clinical instruction. Familiarity with accreditation, regulatory standards, and outcomes assessment in nursing education. Experience with curriculum design, program evaluation, and quality improvement. Engagement in scholarship, research, or professional practice. Physical Requirements Occasional lifting of boxes, supplies, etc., generally less than 30 lbs. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
