Job Description:
The Department of Nursing at Le Moyne College invites applications for a full-time professor of practice nursing faculty appointment. This ten month faculty position focuses on teaching, mentoring and advising responsibilities across the graduate and undergraduate nursing programs. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, a passion for excellence in nursing education, and a collaborative approach working alongside a team to develop the next generation of nursing professionals. The responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to: 1.
Curriculum & Program Development:
Actively participate in the design, instruction, and continuous curriculum improvement strategies for the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program. 2.
Program Accreditation and Compliance:
Actively participate in the maintenance, self-study, and review processes for FNP program accreditation. 3.
Course Delivery & Innovation:
Design and deliver engaging graduate and undergraduate courses, including on-campus and online learning environments. 4.
Subject Matter Expertise:
Serve as a content expert to ensure academic rigor and clinical relevance in all assigned courses. 5.
Clinical & Professional Mentorship:
Teach clinical applications and foster professional role development among students as a classroom instructor and clinical preceptor providing faculty oversight of students (Not all faculty serve as preceptors). 6.
Student Advisement:
Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, supporting their professional and educational growth. 7.
Service & Governance:
Contribute to institutional growth by participating in Department of Nursing, Purcell School, and College-wide committees and service initiatives including: monthly department meetings, faculty senate meetings, college committees, commencement exercises, program admissions, marketing and student events. Must complete all required federal, state, institution and department trainings. Engages in a planned program of professional development. Continually maintains skills and knowledge relative to the position and technology industry including best practice, evolving operational requirements, and industry trends. Performs a variety of related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Nursing (Doctorate preferred). Current Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification. Active, unencumbered New York State RN license. Prior higher education teaching experience with a history of teaching excellence. Experience with program planning and curriculum development in advanced practice nursing. Excellent public speaking and verbal communication skills.

Pay Range:
