Job Description
To teach and provide service to the college. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree or higher in Nursing earned prior to start date Ohio nursing license earned prior to start date Experience for at least two years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse Preferred Qualifications Clinical nursing experience, Psych or OB experience welcomed. Teaching experience in baccalaureate or higher degree nursing program Experience working with diverse population Essential Functions and percent of time: 80% Provide competent teaching demonstrated through articulation of the practice-theory relationship, incorporation of research into clinical practice, use of sound teaching-learning theory and techniques, and constructive evaluation. Utilize creative and varied teaching strategies. Serve as a clinical role model and teaching clinician in specialty areas of nursing. Facilitate a positive, collaborative learning climate for students, including valuing of diversity, integrity, accountability, and ethical and professional behavior among students. Teaching assignments will be primarily in-person didactics and clinical sections; some courses may be online. Evening and weekend teaching may be required. 20% Serve on college/university committees and professional organizations.
