Basic Function:
Kent State University Geauga and Twinsburg Academic Center is seeking candidates for a non-tenure track faculty position to teach undergraduate medical-surgical nursing in an ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing) accredited associate degree nursing program at the Twinsburg Academic Center. Additional Basic Function - if applicable:
Examples of Duties:
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: The successful candidate will teach in a variety of settings, including lectures, clinicals, skill and simulation labs in medical-surgical nursing in the ADN curriculum. A willingness to employ teaching modalities beyond in-person lectures is required, and relevant prior experience will be welcomed. Additional Examples of Duties - if applicable:
Minimum Qualifications:
Current, active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio. Master of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited/approved nursing program. Two years of nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications - if applicable:
Master's degree in Nursing with a specialty in medical-surgical or adult nursing care. Previous undergraduate teaching experience preferred. Experience in nursing education or advanced medical-surgical nursing is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
