Job Description

Full-Time Faculty:
Assistant Professor, School of Nursing DeSales University School of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track or clinical faculty Assistant Professor to begin in Fall 2026. The faculty member hired for this 12-month, full-time, position is mainly responsible for teaching students in the undergraduate and graduate nursing courses in classroom, laboratory, clinical, hybrid, and online formats. The role also includes student advising and recruitment responsibilities. The successful candidate will contribute to the education of future nursing professionals through excellence in teaching, scholarship, service, and student mentorship. The successful candidate is expected to support the mission and values of the university while fostering a student-centered learning environment that promotes academic excellence, clinical competence, and professional leadership. Required qualification Earned master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution. Earned doctoral degree in nursing or related field (PhD, EdD, DNP) by the time of appointment. Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience. Preferred qualification Previous teaching experience in higher education. Experience with simulation-based education and clinical instruction. National specialty certification in an area of nursing practice. Experience with online and hybrid course delivery. Evidence of scholarship through research, publications, presentations, or other scholarly activities. Experience with curriculum development, assessment, or accreditation processes.
