Job Description:
Immaculata University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position within the Division of Nursing, supporting its Pre-Licensure BSN, RN-to-BSN, and MSN programs. Qualified candidates must hold an MSN degree and an earned doctorate in nursing or a closely related field•. Prior teaching experience in undergraduate nursing education is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will possess expertise in Maternity and Child Health Nursing and demonstrate a commitment to collaborative teaching, student success, and the implementation of innovative educational strategies that support a diverse student population. Additional expertise in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable: Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, or Nursing Research. Faculty responsibilities include classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction; academic advising and mentorship of students; curriculum development and continuous program improvement; and active engagement in scholarship and service. The successful candidate will contribute to the advancement of the Division of Nursing and support the University's mission, vision, and strategic goals through participation in divisional, university-wide, and professional activities.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver undergraduate and/or graduate nursing courses, ensuring that content is current and aligns with accreditation standards. Design and implement assessments to evaluate student learning outcomes effectively. Participate in the ongoing implementation, evaluation, and enhancement of the undergraduate nursing program to reflect CCNE, AACN, and SBON standards, current evidence and best practices. Teach across the nursing programs (lecture, lab and clinicals) as assigned by the Division of Nursing Chair. Provide academic advising to nursing students and mentor them in their professional development. Participate in university committees, and Division of Nursing and campus events to support institutional goals and community engagement. Minimum Requirements:
Doctoral degree in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing with a doctoral degree in a related field• An unencumbered registered nurse license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is required Experience in Maternal Child Health is required
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with teaching didactic, clinical, and lab courses. Experience with nursing labs and/or simulation labs is preferred. •A candidate with an MSN will qualify for the rank of instructor. A candidate with an MSN and a doctorate will qualify for the rank of assistant professor
