Job Description:
Function of Position:
Part Time instructors are responsible for implementing the LPN curricula, as provided by the MCC Healthcare Department. Instructors work in a variety of settings, including classrooms, simulation labs, hospitals, and clinics. Healthcare programs are scheduled year-round, Monday - Saturday, as part of MCC's Corporate College non-credit open enrollment catalog. Classroom and simulation labs are located on the Downtown Campus. Clinical's are held at various approved locations in Rochester. Flexible work hours are required. The part-time instructor reports to the Coordinator, LPN Program.
Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:
Teach and supervise LPN students in a classroom, lab, or clinical setting Implement education programs for nursing students that align with course objectives in the MCC LPN Program. Teach and guide nursing students in carrying out patient assessments and developing care plans. Provide supervision and guidance to nursing students in the delivery of patient care. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide the best experience for nursing students. Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to enhance their learning and skills development. Maintain accurate records and documentation Assist in the development of classroom and clinical policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Earned master's degree from a regionally accredited higher education institution or hold a bachelor's degree in nursing and be enrolled in and actively pursuing a master's degree or higher in nursing A minimum of two years of experience as an RN in a clinical setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to lifelong learning and professional development. Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of students, faculty, and healthcare professionals.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of NYS Professional Certification process, INB Banner System and Self-Service Banner Teaching experience is preferred. Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently The physical demands and working conditions listed below represent those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Physical Demands of Position:
Moving about while instructing and demonstrating skills to students; reaching, pulling, and pushing while demonstrating while using medical equipment; able to do repetitive tasks; remain stationary at a desk while typing; teaching in a medical facility setting for extended periods.

Instructors work in a variety of settings, including classroom, lab, hospitals, and clinics.
Additional Information:
Salary:
Hourly wage is $40 to $55/hr. depending on experience and credentials.
Schedule:
10-14 hours per week.
