Job Description
The College of Nursing at Charleston Southern University is seeking qualified faculty candidates eligible for the rank of Instructor orAssistant Professor in Nursing to fill full-time, 10-month faculty positions, to teach in the BSN program. Rank will be commensurate withexperience. Responsibilities Responsibilities include undergraduate and graduateteaching, collaborating with current faculty, advising and participating in scholarly activities, community service, and serving on facultycommittees and attending departmental meetings as required. Qualifications Candidates must have an earned Master's Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution ofhigher education in the teaching discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with an earned Doctorate in Nursing (PhD, EdD, or DNP),or alternatively qualified with appropriate supporting documentation. Applicants should have at least five years full-time, directpatient care experience and must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught and currency in the discipline. Thedesirable candidate will have higher education teaching experience and be able to supervise students in clinical areas. The candidate mustbe a registered nurse within South Carolina and hold an unencumbered nursing license.
