Practical Nursing Associate Instructor (Evening) The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Northwest Covington campus is accepting applications for a Practical Nursing Associate Instructor (Evening). This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. for the 16-month evening cohorts.

Salary:

Commensurate with education and experience and according to salary guidelines established by the Tennessee Board of Regents.

Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Required Qualifications Associate Degree in Nursing required BSN preferred. Must hold active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee with no disciplinary actions. Must have a minimum of three (3) years of successful recent employment experience in the specialty area to be taught beyond the normal learning period. Must have at least three years' current clinical experience. Teaching experience preferred. Must possess the organizational and communication skills necessary to be an effective instructor. Must have the ability to interact with adult students. Must show evidence of good character, mature attitude, and stable personality. Must possess computer skills. Responsibilities Develop course of study and conduct training program in specialty area utilizing ATI, D2L, and other curriculum support platforms. Confer with administration to gain knowledge and better understand changes in policies, procedures, and technologies. Formulate teaching outline and determine instructional methods utilizing knowledge of specific training needs and effectiveness of such methods as individualized and group instruction, lecture, demonstration, and conference. Select or develop teaching aids, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, and reference materials. Assist other PN instructors with skills, lectures, and clinical. Provide tutoring to nursing students as needed during office hours. Maintain student records and reports. Responsible for student placement and assist with student follow-up. Cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to business Participate in recruitment of students. Supervise students' clinical experience in various healthcare settings (long term care, acute care, outpatient clinics, schools, etc. Actively seek potential clinical sites for the provision of clinical training. Adhere to all Board of Nursing requirements and all TCAT Northwest requirements.
