The Master's of Science in Cardiovascular Perfusion Program invites candidates to apply for a part-time Adjunct Instructor position to co-teach

Nurse Anesthesia Department Summary:
The mission of the Department of Nurse Anesthesia is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to work as part of an inter-professional team to serve the public through the delivery of safe, cost-efficient, quality anesthesia services. We strive to develop leaders and scholars who will advance the specialty of nurse anesthesia through research, scholarship, and public service. We achieve our mission by establishing an environment that promotes excellence, stimulates creativity, and recognizes achievement.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Instruction Deliver high-quality lectures: Facilitate engaging, evidence-based lectures within the Master of Science in Cardiovascular Perfusion curriculum, in core subject areas as assigned.
Simulation-based teaching:
Lead and supervise simulation-based learning experiences. Curriculum integration Collaborate with the course coordinator to ensure course content aligns with the latest clinical standards and the AC-PE (Accreditation Committee on Perfusion Education) requirements. Assessment & evaluation Design assessments: Develop rigorous formative and summative assessment tools, including written examinations and oral evaluations, to measure student competency. Learning management system (LMS)
Management:
Maintain organized course modules and perform timely, accurate grading and feedback within the Canvas platform.
Student Performance Tracking:
Monitor student progress and provide constructive, individualized feedback to support academic and clinical growth. Professional standards & administration Clinical subject matter expertise: Serve as a technical resource for students by integrating current "real-world" clinical practices and ABCP standards into the classroom setting.
Regulatory compliance:
Ensure all teaching and assessment activities adhere to the standards of the accredited perfusion program and university policies.
Professional mentorship:
Foster a professional learning environment that encourages critical thinking, ethical practice, and a commitment to patient safety.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications Certification as a Clinical Cardiovascular Perfusionist (CCP). Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical practice as a CCP. Experience with clinical or didactic teaching in an accredited perfusion program. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Canvas learning management system.
Salary Range:
$5,000 (1.5 credit hours)
