We are seeking an experienced nurse leader with a background in skilled nursing, long-term care, post-acute care, or rehabilitation nursing to oversee daily clinical operations and help ensure high-quality resident care. This RN Unit Manager position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse looking to advance into a nursing leadership role within a skilled nursing facility (SNF), rehabilitation, or long-term care setting.
RN Unit Manager Responsibilities:
Oversee daily clinical operations and workflow for the assigned nursing unit Supervise, support, and lead RNs, LPNs, and CNAs Promote high-quality resident care and exceptional customer service Monitor physician orders, treatments, nursing documentation, and care plans Assist with resident admissions, discharges, assessments, and care coordination Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal healthcare regulations Support infection prevention, quality improvement initiatives, and survey readiness Provide leadership, coaching, training, and mentorship to nursing staff Help maintain a positive, professional, and resident-centered nursing environment
Qualifications:
Active Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license required Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or post-acute care preferred Previous nursing leadership, charge nurse, unit manager, or supervisory experience preferred Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and organizational skills Ability to effectively lead and motivate a nursing team Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities Commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care Why Join Greenway Health and Rehab?
