Responsibilities Lead and coordinate nursing care delivery for patients across various units, ensuring adherence to treatment plans and protocols. Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster a collaborative team environment. Manage patient assessments, vital signs, and medical documentation with precision and attention to detail. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform catheterizations following aseptic techniques and safety guidelines. Oversee infection control practices, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop discharge planning strategies and coordinate patient care transitions. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation and communication of patient information. Requirements Valid nursing license with current registration in the relevant state or jurisdiction. Extensive critical care experience, including ICU or emergency medicine settings preferred. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner; experience with eClinicalWorks or Athenahealth is advantageous. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and healthcare regulations including HIPAA. Demonstrated leadership abilities with supervising or managing nursing teams in long-term care or hospital environments. Experience with IV insertion, catheter care, tube feeding management, ventilator support, and infection control protocols. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with the ability to manage complex cases involving geriatrics, dementia care, behavioral health, or developmental disabilities.
