The RN Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily nursing operations during the assigned shift, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting the clinical team in providing exceptional service. Responsibilities Supervise and support Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and other nursing staff during the assigned shift. Ensure quality resident care in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and federal and California state regulations. Conduct resident assessments and respond promptly to changes in condition. Oversee admissions, transfers, discharges, and hospital returns. Review and ensure accurate and timely nursing documentation. Monitor medication administration and treatment practices. Provide clinical guidance, coaching, and education to nursing staff. Participate in staffing coordination and address staffing concerns during the shift. Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team. Investigate and document incidents, accidents, and unusual occurrences. Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance standards. Assist with survey readiness and maintain compliance with CMS and California Department of Public Health regulations. Serve as the clinical resource and leadership representative during assigned shifts. Qualifications Current, active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long-Term Care setting. Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred. Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, California Title 22 regulations, and skilled nursing standards. Excellent assessment, leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Current CPR/BLS certification. Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) or other electronic health records preferred.
