Regular local travel between assigned hospital locations About the Role Infection Prevention Services, LLC is seeking a California licensed Nurse Practitioner to join our leadership team as a Market Infection Prevention Manager. This is a multifacility clinical leadership position responsible for overseeing infection prevention programs across several hospitals, including locations in Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Perris, and other facilities supported by Infection Prevention Services. The Market Infection Prevention Manager will provide direct oversight and support to facility based infection prevention staff, monitor program performance, review complex infection related cases, support regulatory readiness, and work closely with hospital clinical and executive leadership. This position is ideal for an experienced Nurse Practitioner who wants to transition from traditional direct patient care into healthcare leadership, quality, patient safety, and infection prevention. Prior infection prevention experience is preferred but not required . We are willing to train a clinically strong Nurse Practitioner with acute care hospital experience, leadership ability, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to manage multiple facilities and teams. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical and operational oversight of infection prevention programs across multiple hospitals. Supervise, support, and develop Infection Preventionists and infection prevention support staff. Maintain regular presence at assigned facilities throughout Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Perris, and other assigned locations. Review complex patient cases and potential healthcare associated infections. Support surveillance and investigation of
CLABSI, CAUTI, C.
difficile, MDROs, surgical site infections, and other reportable or healthcare associated infections. Review microbiology results, laboratory data, medical records, antimicrobial therapy, clinical documentation, and infection trends. Ensure infection prevention programs remain aligned with NHSN, CDC, CMS, CDPH, Joint Commission, Cal/OSHA, and other applicable requirements. Monitor facility infection prevention metrics, audits, action plans, and performance-improvement initiatives. Participate in Infection Control Committee meetings, hospital leadership meetings, root cause analyses, and regulatory preparation. Conduct hospital rounds and identify infection prevention, device utilization, isolation, environmental, and clinical practice risks. Collaborate with nursing, medical staff, pharmacy, laboratory, environmental services, quality, employee health, education, and hospital administration. Provide real time education, coaching, and corrective guidance when infection prevention gaps are identified. Assist with policy development, implementation, standardization, and staff education. Support onboarding, competency development, and ongoing training of infection prevention staff. Help standardize infection prevention practices and expectations across all assigned facilities. Escalate significant infection prevention, patient safety, or regulatory concerns to IPS leadership and hospital administration. Required Qualifications Current, unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner license. Current California Registered Nurse license. Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Acute care hospital experience as an RN and/or Nurse Practitioner. Strong clinical assessment, medical record review, and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated leadership ability. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to independently organize and prioritize responsibilities across multiple facilities. Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, nursing leadership, hospital executives, and frontline healthcare staff. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the Inland Empire and other assigned Southern California locations. Preferred Qualifications Infection prevention or infectious disease experience. CIC, or willingness to pursue infection prevention certification. ICU, acute care, hospital medicine, emergency, or other inpatient clinical experience. Experience supervising clinical staff or managing healthcare programs. Experience with quality improvement, regulatory readiness, utilization review, case management, or patient safety. Familiarity with NHSN, CDC, CMS, CDPH, Joint Commission, or hospital infection prevention requirements. What Makes This Role Different This is not a traditional Nurse Practitioner position with a patient panel. You will use your clinical background to influence infection prevention, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and clinical practice across multiple hospitals.

Pay:
$115,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
