Compensation Based on Experience. The License Vocational Nurse is responsible for providing physical, mental, and emotional care to patients. This position is also responsible for maintaining the patient's medical condition and evaluating medical care plans. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Delivering direct patient care to patients as assigned, using established procedures Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records on medical information, vital signs, or changes in patient's conditions Monitor patients' medication usage and results Record the patients' medical history Giving injections of medications Providing Immunizations Educate patients and families about treatments and procedures Providing oversight for CNAs Assisting with daily need such as bathing and dressing Observing of patients for any changes including skin breakdown and acute issues Document patients' medical and psychological histories, physical assessment results, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, or outcomes Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans Provide personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to patients Assist with or instituting emergency measures for sudden adverse developments during treatment Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) A current LVN license and CPR certification Knowledge of healthcare regulations and preventative measures (HIPAA confidentiality, infection spread, etc.) Exemplary customer service experience including client relationships and job knowledge Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively; ability to critically think Knowledge of quality control Ability to exercise manual dexterity, control precision and arm-hand steadiness accurately Ability to be empathetic with patients; ability to maintain confidentiality
