Assistant Nurse Manager Med Surg Neuro St Anthony North Hospital - 3.6 Westminster, CO Job Details Part-time $41.50 - $72.11 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications RN License BLS Certification Patient care Full Job Description Job Summary and Responsibilities The 4 South Medical Surgical department at St. Anthony North Hospital, an achieved Magnet® Hospital, is 30-bed unit which treats cardiac, neuro and med-surg patients. This includes a variety of diagnoses, including CHF, COPD, Chest Pain, MI, GI bleeds, post-catheterization, TIA, TR bands, and stroke. We receive overflow from anywhere in the hospital if they have a cardiac or neuro issue, provided they meet unit criteria. As an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) you will be responsible for developing, achieving and maintaining the goals of a unit or department by focusing on the unit or department's daily operations.
Essential functions to the success of this role include: Consistently promote a positive & healthy work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers. Collaboratively work with nurse leaders in maintaining productivity, supporting initiatives, and ensuring units/departments are appropriately staffed. Assist in identifying staff development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education. Daily productivity and expense management and support unit/department manager with budget preparation. Focus on patient safety, patient experience, and performance improvement in alignment with unit/department goals. Encourage employee participation in decision through shared governance and support change management. Support professional development to improve employee retention. Job Requirements In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified Assistant Nurse Manager candidates will need the following: 2 years clinical RN experience 6 months - 1 year clinical leadership experience, preferred A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN) Current RN License to practice in state of employment Life Support Certifications per Department Standards; e.g. NRP, EFM, TNCC, etc.
