Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Manager to lead and oversee the daily clinical and operational activities of a nursing unit within our skilled nursing facility. The Unit Manager plays a key leadership role in ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and effective team coordination. This position requires strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to providing compassionate care to residents. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the assigned nursing unit, ensuring quality resident care and compliance with state and federal regulations. Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. Coordinate resident care plans in collaboration with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members. Monitor clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. Address resident and family concerns promptly and professionally. Conduct staff rounds, evaluate performance, and provide coaching or corrective guidance when needed. Assist with infection control, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives. Ensure proper medication administration and treatment protocols are followed. Participate in care plan meetings, audits, and regulatory surveys. Promote a positive work environment that supports teamwork and professional growth. Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida. Minimum 2-3 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting. Prior supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred. Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards of practice. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
