Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Staff Development Coordinator to lead training, education, and professional development initiatives within our skilled nursing facility. This role is essential in ensuring staff are properly trained, compliant with regulations, and equipped to provide high-quality resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and conduct orientation programs for new hires Develop and deliver ongoing education and in-service training for all staff Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility training requirements Maintain accurate records of employee certifications, licenses, and training Monitor competency and provide skills validation for clinical staff Collaborate with department leaders to identify training needs and performance gaps Assist with survey readiness and regulatory compliance initiatives Stay current on best practices, regulations, and industry standards Qualifications Must possess as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved RN program. Must have, as minimum, two (2) years experience in a nursing care facility. Must have experience in supervision and principles, practices of teaching, etc. Must have experience of staff recruitment. Must possess skills in leadership and communication. Must possess working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Screening. Must be able to pass a drug screening. "
