Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse Manager. This individual will be responsible for leading and managing a team of nursing staff performing quality of life services for our patients. The RN Manager will be responsible for meeting and exceeding departmental goals, objectives, and metrics while working with the Clinical Director to ensure goals are met. The RN Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective nursing team composed of registered nurses that provide quality care to our patients. The RN Manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing an efficient work schedule that will ensure the efficient delivery of care to our patients.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (B.N) or Registered Nurse (RN) License required; Master's Degree in Nursing (M.N) License required; or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License required. Minimum of 10 years' experience in a skilled nursing facility or long term care setting required; or BSN degree from an accredited nursing program with CNA certification required. Experience working in a long-term care facility preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of LTC patient care, discharge planning, discharge plans, discharge status management, DNR training, DYS training, PAD management, LTC resident education and communication, LTC patient education and communication, and resident rights and responsibilities preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of Discharge Planning software preferred.
