Job Overview The Oaks Nursing Home, a 60 bed skilled care facility is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to assist our DON in leading our nursing team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing administration, with expertise in long-term care , specifically related to nursing home environments. As the ADON, you will work directly with the Director of Nursing in overseeing the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring compliance with resident rights, and maintaining high standards of patient care in accordance with Medicare regulations. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for residents, ensuring their needs are met effectively. Ensure compliance with resident rights and advocate for the well-being of all patients. Oversee nursing staff and manage daily operations within the nursing department. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to maintain high standards of patient care. Monitor patient outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary based on physiological assessments. Maintain knowledge of current trends in nursing administration and healthcare systems. Provide training and support to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. Ensure that all nursing practices adhere to regulatory requirements, including Medicare guidelines. Experience Proven experience in a leadership role within a nursing home or home health setting is preferred. Strong understanding of care plans, resident rights, and Medicare regulations. Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively while promoting a positive work environment. In-depth knowledge of physiology as it relates to patient care is essential. Active nursing license with relevant certifications is required.
