  • Medical/Surgical is responsible for coordinating and supporting patient care across the Medical and Surgical Units.
This role collaborates with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals to ensure efficient, high-quality care delivery and optimal patient outcomes. The RN Coordinator/Specialist assists with care transitions, monitors care standards, and supports quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance in an acute care environment. Essential Functions Coordinate daily care activities across Medical and Surgical Units to support safe, efficient, and patient-centered care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans. Serve as a clinical resource to nursing staff and support adherence to protocols and policies. Participate in patient rounding, discharge planning, and patient/family education. Monitor quality indicators, regulatory compliance, and participate in performance improvement projects. Facilitate communication among providers, staff, patients, and families to promote continuity of care. Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Support onboarding and ongoing clinical development of unit staff. Assist with coordination of supplies, equipment readiness, and unit operations. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations Strong clinical decision-making and patient assessment skills. Knowledge of Medical/Surgical care standards, workflows, and regulatory requirements. Proficient in EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a dynamic care environment Qualifications Education Postsecondary (Cert/Diploma/Program Grad) from an accredited school of nursing (Required) And Bachelor's Degree in nursing (Preferred) And Master's Degree in nursing, healthcare management or administration (Preferred) Licenses/Certifications RN
  • Registered Nurse
  • State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the state of practice Upon Hire (Required) And BCLS
  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Upon Hire Experience 2+ years acute care inpatient nursing experience (Required) And Prior Experience in care coordination, quality improvement, or clinical leadership (Preferred)
