Job Description
Emergency Department RN Manager We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department RN Manager to lead our dynamic healthcare team. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the daily operations of our emergency department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the emergency department, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal patient care delivery
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff to promote professional development and maintain high standards of practice
- Collaborate with physicians, support staff, and hospital administration to coordinate patient care and department activities
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and hospital policies
- Manage staffing schedules, resource allocation, and budget to optimize department efficiency
- Address patient and family concerns promptly, ensuring a positive experience
- Implement quality improvement initiatives and monitor key performance indicators
- Facilitate staff training, continuing education, and emergency preparedness protocols
Skills and Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license with current state licensure
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in emergency nursing, with prior leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of emergency department operations, healthcare regulations, and safety standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and hospital management software
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- TNCC certification a plus, must acquire with in 6 months of hire Summary of FT benefits available:
