Job Description

Unit Manager RN Registered Nurse Location:
Sylvania, Georgia 30467
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Unit Manager RN to join our team at PineView Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the nursing department in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines, as well as the center's policies and procedures. Additionally, the Unit Manager will provide leadership and oversight to nursing personnel, participate in the development and implementation of care plans, and ensure a high level of quality patient care.
UM RN Responsibilities:
Assists the Director of Nursing in directing the daily activities of the nursing department Ensures that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned Participates in the development and implementation of care plans Oversees the administration of medications, treatments, and procedures Observes for changes in resident status and notifies the physician and resident's family or representative accordingly Maintains accurate and thorough resident records Provides leadership and oversight to nursing personnel Participates in quality assurance performance improvement programs Participates in end-of-life care as required
Requirements:
Current Registered Nurse RN license in the state of Georgia Current CPR certification Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public Must have patience, tact, and willingness to deal with difficult residents, family, and staff Ability to assist in evacuation of residents during emergency situations Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, perform overhead lifting, and perform other common physical movements as needed for the position Subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and/or conditions that include AIDS, Coronavirus, Hepatitis B, and Tuberculosis May be subject to hostile or emotional residents, family members, visitors, or personnel
