East Hawaii Health Clinics is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Professional Nurse IV to serve as the Infusion Room Nursing Supervisor within the East Hawaii Health Cancer Center. This leadership role combines clinical expertise, staff development, and operational oversight to support the delivery of high-quality oncology care while fostering a culture of excellence, patient safety, and continuous learning. The Infusion Room Nursing Supervisor is responsible for coordinating daily infusion center operations, leading staff education and training initiatives, supporting clinical care delivery, and serving as a resource for nursing staff, patients, and interdisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Assist in coordinating and supervising daily operations of the Cancer Center Infusion Room, ensuring efficient workflows and quality patient care. Develop, coordinate, conduct, and evaluate educational programs, orientation activities, competency assessments, and staff development initiatives. Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff, serving as a resource for oncology nursing practice, patient care, and regulatory compliance. Deliver direct patient care as needed, including assessments, medication administration, patient education, symptom management, and emergency interventions. Lead and participate in quality improvement projects, policy development, accreditation readiness efforts, and implementation of best practices. Collaborate with physicians, clinical teams, and leadership to promote patient-centered, culturally competent, and safe oncology services. Minimum Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field is highly desirable. Experience Minimum one and one-half (1½) years of professional nursing experience. Demonstrated leadership or supervisory aptitude through prior assignments, team leadership responsibilities, project management, staff development activities, or related experience. Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within one (1) month of hire. Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred. Licensure Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii. Preferred Skills Strong knowledge of oncology nursing principles, infusion therapies, and patient education. Experience with staff training, competency development, and project coordination. Understanding of regulatory and accreditation standards, including Joint Commission and oncology-specific requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a patient-centered approach to care. 0 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) positions assigned to 8 hour shifts. Accruals for these benefits are otherwise prorated based on FTE.
