29338 Position Summary The Nursing Excellence Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for programs that advance nursing excellence across the organization. This role oversees the achievement and sustainment of Magnet® designation through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), oversight of professional governance, nursing recognition programs, nursing professional development initiatives, and nursing research in partnership with the Research Department. The Manager partners with nursing and executive leadership to ensure alignment between professional practice, quality outcomes, workforce development, and organizational priorities. This position has responsibility for program outcomes, fiscal stewardship, personnel management, and continuous advancement of nursing excellence. Responsibilities

• Leads Magnet designation and redesignation through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
• Oversees professional governance, nursing recognition, professional development, and nursing research initiatives to advance professional practice and outcomes
• Facilitates resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling to optimize operations
• Manages performance, professional growth, and development through coaching, feedback, and evaluation of assigned employees
• Provides education, consultation, and communication to promote a culture of nursing excellence
• Maintains documentation, program evaluation, and continuous improvement processes
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
• Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
• Performs other related duties as assigned Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
• BSN required; Masters in nursing related field preferred
• Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program required
• State of Idaho Registered Nurse OR licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the "multistate privilege to practice" compact with Idaho prior to start date
• Minimum 4 years' clinical nursing experience; leadership, education, or quality experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of professional practice standards, shared governance, nursing research, and nursing excellence models
• Strong analytical and writing skills with the ability to develop clear reports, exemplars, and presentations
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentation abilities
• Demonstrated comfort and proficiency with technology, data systems, and digital collaboration tools
• Experience with Magnet or nursing excellence initiatives strongly preferred Working Conditions
• Must be able to lift and move up to 15 lbs
• Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
• Typical equipment used in a clinical job
• Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
