Nurse Director

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Director to lead our nursing team and oversee the delivery of exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Provide strong leadership and supervision to nursing staff, including nurse managers, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nursing assistants. Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care plans tailored to individual resident needs, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards such as Medicare and HIPAA. Oversee clinical operations across assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health services, hospice care, and acute care units. Manage documentation review processes, including medical records, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and medical terminology accuracy to ensure compliance with legal and accreditation requirements. Coordinate staffing schedules and shift management to maintain optimal coverage while promoting staff well-being and work-life balance. Monitor quality metrics related to resident outcomes, MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments, care plans, and documentation accuracy to support continuous improvement. Uphold all safety protocols related to physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, HIPAA regulations, and medical records confidentiality. Facilitate ongoing staff training in nursing administration, EMR/EHR systems usage, medical terminology updates, and Medicare regulations. Lead interdisciplinary team meetings to promote effective communication around resident care plans and care transitions. Ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations while fostering a culture of excellence in resident-centered care. Qualifications Proven management experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, memory Care or similar healthcare environments with supervising responsibilities. Extensive nursing background with strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and nursing practices. Demonstrated expertise in nurse management including shift management and staffing coordination. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for documentation review and medical records management. Experience working within HIPPA guidelines. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster professional growth among nursing staff. Knowledge of care coordination in a memory care community and resident management strategies. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and residents' families.
