  • As our Manager, House, you will provide crucial operational leadership and oversight for the general flow, safety, and efficient functioning of our facility during designated shifts.

You will be instrumental in ensuring a smooth and supportive environment for both patients and staff outside of specific departmental responsibilities. Every day you will manage and coordinate various aspects of facility operations, including patient placement and bed management, staffing adjustments, handling emergent situations, and resolving interdepartmental operational issues. You will be expected to ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, facilitate communication between different units, respond to patient and family concerns, and support all clinical and non-clinical teams as needed to maintain high standards of service. To be successful in this role, you must possess strong leadership and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, a comprehensive understanding of hospital operations, and the capacity to make critical decisions under pressure.

+ Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.

+ Supervises assigned professional, technical, and clerical staff of the department to ensure the quality of work.

+ Manages the workflow of the unit to ensure the delivery of quality patient care.

+ Implements and supports quality improvement activities for the department.

+ Develops staffing patterns and ensures availability of sufficient qualified staff to meet patient care needs.

+ Works to develop and retain highly skilled and well-rounded staff including orienting, training, directing work, evaluating performance and assuring clinical competency.
