$10,000 Sign On Bonus Available Manager, Nursing Unit - Emergency Department (ED) Ochsner Health | Slidell Memorial Hospital East | Full-Time Slidell, LA Join Ochsner Health in the Northshore Region - we're seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Manager to lead daily operations and patient care delivery at Slidell Memorial Hospital. This role is ideal for a strong clinical leader ready to support frontline staff while driving quality, safety, and operational excellence. About the
Role:
The Manager of the Emergency Department assumes unit-level responsibility for nursing practice, quality of care, and service outcomes. This role provides direct leadership and support to nursing staff, ensuring high standards of patient care and employee engagement. Key responsibilities include managing assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment in a cost-effective manner; monitoring quality and patient satisfaction metrics; supporting budgeting and operational performance; and fostering professional development. The Nurse Manager works closely with physicians and interdisciplinary partners to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required for Ochsner Magnet Facilities. Current Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association). Minimum 3 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in a charge nurse, supervisor, or leadership role.
