QUALIFICATIONS
1. A valid and unencumbered license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. 2. Must hold the education credential required by the state for the nursing license. 3. Five or more years of full-time experience in nursing. 4. Prior experience as a nursing educator, clinical coordinator, clinical site supervisor, or similar role, preferred. 5. Proficiency with technology required to perform the essential functions of the position. 6. Demonstrated understanding of nursing education regulations and requirements. 7. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 8. Strong time management and organizational skills. 9. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, small team environment. 10. Valid driver's license. 11. Such alternatives to the above qualifications that the Superintendent deems appropriate and acceptable.
SUPERVISOR/EVALUATOR
Practical Nurse Program Director
JOB GOAL
The Admissions and Clinical Coordinator oversees the admissions of students in the practical nurse program and secures, organizes, and maintains relationships with clinical healthcare facilities.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Admissions:
1. Works with the Technical Institute admissions advisor to identify prospective LPN students, conduct information sessions and program tours, and follow up on inquiries. 2. Assists applicants through the admissions process, ensuring that all prerequisites (TEAS scores, transcripts, background checks, immunization records) are completed. 3. Coordinates and proctors on-site TEAS testing. 4. Works with the Practical Nurse Program Director and nursing faculty to organize and host orientation sessions for new students. 5. Works with administration and oUice support staU to maintain accurate student enrollment records in the student information system.
Clinical Coordination and Compliance:
1. Identifies, vets, and secures clinical placement sites to fulfill curriculum requirements. 2. Coordinates with the clinical site to establish and renew clinical aUiliation contracts. 3. Schedules student cohorts and clinical instructors into designated shifts, ensuring strict adherence to student-to-instructor ratios. 4. Collects, reviews, and maintains all required health immunizations. 5. Ensures that students have met all pre-requisites for placement on clinical rotations. 6. Serves as the primary liaison between the school and clinical facility coordinators to address any scheduling conflicts, behavioral issues, or student incidents.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
1. Salaried, exempt 2. Full-time 3. School-Year Plus 10 Days (193 days) 4. Some evenings and weekends are required for open houses and clinical site visits. 5. Local travel required to visit active and prospective clinical sites, attend admissions events, etc.
