Jobs › Newton, MA › Admission Nurse Director Good Shepherd Community Care Admission Nurse Director Newton, MA Apply Salary Range $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 Salary/year Description Admission Nurse Director Named by The Boston Globe as one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts for the last four years, our community-based, mission-driven hospice and palliative care organization seeks a Admission Nurse Director to join its expanding admissions team.
Job Responsibilities :
The Admission Nurse Director is responsible for leading and overseeing the organization's admissions function, including clinical quality, documentation standards, staffing structure, operational flow, and professional development of the admissions team. This role is accountable for ensuring a timely, clinically appropriate, patient-centered admission process while supporting strong collaboration across intake, community development, and clinical teams. The Admission Nurse Director is responsible for driving consistency, accountability, and process improvement throughout the referral-to-admission continuum.
Schedule and Weekly Hours:
Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm.
Education, Skills and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in nursing. Registered Nurse, licensed in Massachusetts. Minimum of five years of related experience and two years of management experience required. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage clinical operations, navigate team dynamics, and foster collaborative working relationships across departments. Excellent problem-solving skills Must be proficient in Google Workplace and electronic medical records.

Pay Range:
$110,000 - $130,000: This number reflects an average starting range for this position. Individual pay is determined through a variety of factors including experience, education, certifications, and skills and can exceed the range.
