Days Make an Impact with Baystate Health Baystate Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to join our MedSurg, Telemetry & IMC team at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, Massachusetts . Our MedSurg, Telemetry & IMC team provides high-quality care to diverse medical-surgical, telemetry, and intermediate care patient populations, working closely with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered care. The Nurse Manager role offers the opportunity to provide clinical and operational leadership across multiple patient care areas while supporting staff development, engagement, and retention in a close-knit, community-focused hospital environment. The Nurse Manager Will:

Provide leadership and oversight for nursing staff across MedSurg, Telemetry, and IMC units. Manage clinical, operational, and administrative functions of assigned departments. Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, evidence-based practice, and regulatory compliance. Lead performance improvement, quality, and patient safety initiatives. Support staff orientation, education, competency assessment, and professional development. Partner with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and improve patient throughput. Manage staffing, scheduling, hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management. Oversee departmental metrics including quality, utilization, productivity, and budgeting.

Required Skills Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Massachusetts required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Preferred Qualifications & Skills Prior nursing leadership or management experience. Experience in Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Intermediate Care, or similar acute-care settings.
