• Time Schedule:

• 3 nights per week: 8:00 p.m.
• 4:00 a.m.
• 2 nights per week: 10:00 p.m.
• 6:00 a.m.
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required

Job Summary:

Turning Brook Retirement Community is accepting applications for a Full-Time Shift Supervisor to join our care team. This position is ideal for an experienced caregiver with leadership abilities who is passionate about supporting residents and staff. As the shift supervisor you will play a key role in supporting staff through training, education and quality checks as well as maintaining a safe, nurturing environment where residents feel respected, valued, and well cared for.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with Direct Care Workers to provide hands-on care and oversight
• Provide direct resident care, including medication administration, in accordance with individualized care plans
• Monitor and access resident needs to assure safety, comfort, and quality care
• Supervise, support and guide staff
• Train and educate new and existing staff, ensuring adherence to Turning Brook standards and policies
• Assist with staff training, education and quality assurance checks as assigned
• Keep leadership team informed of incidents or concerns involving residents, families & staff
• Identifying and reporting supply needs
• Assisting with employee scheduling as assigned
• Advocate on behalf of staff while fostering RLM culture by applying the organizations mission and values
• Oversee the community, including resident rooms and common areas
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate concerns or incidents to leadership
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Prior direct care or patient care experience required
• Supervisory or management experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
