Job Description
Mackinac Straits Health System, located just across the mighty Mackinac Bridge, is looking for an Full Time Weekend Supervisor for our 5 star rated Evergreen Living Center. This position can be either 3-12 hour shifts per week, or 4-10 hour shifts per week. This also could be a part-time position for someone only looking to work 12 hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays (24 hours per week). Some Job Duties for this position includes (but is not limited to): Serves as the supervisor for Evergreen staff over the weekend Makes daily rounds for our residents Will assist Director of Nursing with Audits and Quality projects Notify provider on-call of any urgent clinical needs that require immediate attention Assist with updating resident care plans and profiles as needed Coordinates all staffing related tasks for the weekend Works with residents and family members to resolve any concerns shared Assists Nurses and CNA's on the floor as needed Supervises meals and assists as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications
- Must be a team player able to work in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Flexibility and positive attitude is a must. Various work schedules possible.
- Exemplary attendance record.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- R.N. licensure required.
- A.C.L.S. certification required; 3 month window offered to complete the certification class.
- 1-3 years Long Term Care experience is required.
- However, we would be willing to train the right person who may not have leadership experience but as a desire to take on a new challenge.
