Mercy seeks a Nurse Manager to lead dialysis and float pool teams, overseeing clinical excellence, staffing, and patient safety. This role manages daily operations, coordinates schedules, and ensures adequate coverage across units while maintaining high standards of renal care. The Nurse Manager mentors nurses, drives quality initiatives, and upholds regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Provide leadership and clinical oversight for dialysis and float pool nursing staff Manage daily operations, staffing, and scheduling to ensure safe coverage across units Maintain high standards of dialysis care and patient safety using evidence-based practices Monitor quality indicators and lead performance improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with regulatory, infection control, and accreditation requirements Recruit, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, supporting professional growth Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care Oversee documentation accuracy and effective use of the EHRHelp manage unit budgets, productivity, and resource utilization Promote Mercy's culture of compassion, diversity, and continuous learning Required Skills Dialysis patient care management Acute and chronic renal care protocols Staff scheduling and resource allocation Clinical quality and safety management Electronic health record (EHR) proficiency Regulatory and Joint Commission compliance Budgeting and staffing metrics Performance evaluation and coaching Interdisciplinary care coordination Policy and procedure development
