Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Charge Nurse to oversee patient care and coordinate nursing activities . The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience, particularly within long term care and geriatrics. This role requires a strong foundation in long term care, patient assessment, and healthcare documentation to ensure the delivery of exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. The Charge Nurse will serve as a vital link between staff, patients, and physicians, ensuring compliance with facility protocols and standards of care. Duties Supervise and coordinate nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physiology evaluations, and medical history reviews. Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols. Utilize EMR/EHR systems for precise medical documentation and record keeping. Perform IV insertions, venipuncture, and other invasive procedures as needed. Monitor patient progress, respond to emergencies, and provide critical interventions in trauma or urgent care situations. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Oversee patient transfers, admissions, discharges, and coordinate post-acute or outpatient care when appropriate. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control standards and safety protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Skills Experience in Long Term Care Setting Preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and patient assessment techniques. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and medical records management. Skilled in medication administration, IV insertion, venipuncture, and injections with a focus on patient safety. Ability to perform comprehensive patient care including vital signs monitoring and post-operative assessments. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining confidentiality of medical records. Experience working with diverse populations including Geriatrics Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals and patients alike.
